Meet the men of Seven

The son of Reverend Gene & Elaine Armstrong of Bidwell, Ohio, Philip has been singing since he was a young child growing up in a small country church in the farm town of Bidwell, Ohio. Early on, Philip received local recognition as the go-to singer for the National Anthem at all the major home football & basketball games. As a high school sophomore, he received the honor of being awarded two (2) full-time Presidential Scholarships to attend Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music in Winchester, Virginia and Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio respectively.

Ever sharpening his personal skills Philip earned a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. As a soloist, he traveled extensively throughout the United States as a member of the widely acclaimed Central State University Singers and was a part of two recordings with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra under the direction of Erik Kunzel.

As a motivational speaker, Philip has had the distinct honor of singing gospel selections and reciting Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s famous "I Have A Dream" speech at various events across the country and most notably at the King Memorial Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently, Philip is the Chief Operating Officer for Subway Restaurant Development of Eastern Oklahoma with operational oversight of 178 Subway locations. Currently, Phil and wife Monique reside in Tulsa, Oklahoma with their blended blessing of four beautiful children, Raven, Raielle, Philip II, and Charlton.
